The New York lifestyle has definitely gotten to me. I’ve been go-go-go recently and all I’ve had time for is school, school, food, and more school. So I apologize for my lack of posting but maybe this can makeup for it.
The biggest week in the fashion industry is finally underway. New York Fashion Week is where designers have the chance to showcase their latest work for the upcoming seasons, and where influencers and celebrities flock from far and wide to get a peek at the newest trends.
During the early stages of my blog I was always dishing about fashion week street style or sharing pictures of my favorite looks from the runway. Going to fashion week was always a huge goal of mine. Sure, it something I could see myself doing when I was 30 years old and had a real job. But what I didn’t think was possible is that I would be going at 18. I think it’s safe to say that my 13 year old self would totally be FREAKING OUT right about now.
I was able to go to fashion thanks to MODE PR, a public relations company based in NYC. They invited me to come along for a day where I worked behind the scenes, got a glimpse of the runway, and fangirled over my favorite fashion bloggers.
Time and again I’ve expressed how important it is to trust the universe, its plan, and its timing of everything. My opportunity to be a part of fashion week couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Right as I moved to New York and settled into school, I recieved notification that would actually change my life forever. If this is a sneak peek of my future, then I am all here for it.
